Q: Help! Where do I start?
A: Browse our wedding collection of cakes, dessert tables and favours. Build a dessert table to determine pricing and quantities, scroll through menu options or create personalized guest ‘thank you’ favours. Online pre-orders accepted 3 months prior to your wedding date.
BOOKINGS + PAYMENTS
Q: Do I need to put down a deposit in order to book?
A: A Save The Date deposit is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged for those interested in a Stylist Package (delivery, setup, and styling of desserts). This $250 deposit confirms your booking with us, and allows you to begin planning at your own pace.
Q: Does the Save The Date deposit go towards my account?
A: Yes, the $250 Save the Date deposit will be converted into an online credit which can be applied to anything from your wedding cake to a full dessert table package or custom cookie favours. If you do not use all of your credit for your wedding, no worries it never expires! Use it towards your first anniversary cake, treats for your valentine, any birthday celebration or whatever your sweet tooth desires.
Q: What if I need to postpone or cancel my event?
A: Wedding orders can be cancelled or moved to a different date with a minimum of 4 weeks notice. Save the Date deposit of $250 is non-refundable but will remain as a credit in your online account. This credit will never expire and can be used to purchase anything from the Sweet Impressions website.
Q: How far in advance should I place my order?
A: Pre-orders can be placed online up to 3 months in advance.
MENU INFORMATION:
Q: Is the wedding menu all online?
A: Yes, as of 2024! Gone are the obligations for 50% deposits, pre-ordering 6 months in advance and wedding consultation appointments. We have curated an online wedding menu that is convenient for you shop, design and add to cart from the comfort of your own home.
Q: What flavours do you offer?
A: At Sweet Impressions, our wedding menu is thoughtfully crafted to accommodate various allergies and dietary needs without compromising on taste or quality making them a safe for all of your guests! Our entire menu is 100% nut free and we offer a variety of vegan flavours as well. View our Wedding Flavour Menu.
Q: How do I sample your wedding menu?
A: To sample some our favourite menu items, order our Cake Tasting Box or our Dessert Table Tasting Box (also available Vegan). Tasting Boxes are $35. You may either pick up at our bakery + café 1817 Corydon Ave or we can delivery to your door for $15. Select your preferred option at checkout.
Q: What is a Signature Wedding Cake?
A: Our Signature Wedding Cake collection offers designs from trendy to modern that are decorated with luxe meringue buttercream that is silky smooth and not too sweet. Cakes are designed by you ‘a la carté’. Select your base design, size, flavour and flowers accents then add to your cart. Our custom heart cookie topper can be purchased separately for only $10.
Q: When is best to pick up my cake?
A: We suggest picking up your cake 1-3 days before your wedding and storing in a fridge. Cakes should be placed at room temperature 2-8 hours before serving. Please keep cakes out of direct sunlight and warmer temperatures. Care instruction will be provided.
Q: Do you make cakes with fondant, gum paste, or sugar flowers?
A: We do not work with fondant, gum paste, or sugar flowers. All of our cakes are finished with our delicate luxe meringue buttercream that is made from scratch and not too sweet. We design our cakes with fresh greenery, silk flowers and dried floral accents.
Q: Do you make custom cakes?
A: Sorry, we do not. In 2024, we launched our online Signature Wedding cake collection with 6 different base designs, 4 sizes (4″, 6″, 8″, 2 tier), 8 flavours options plus 4 seasonal flavours, and 4 accent floral options. We can make any of our cake designs in 3 and 4 tiers. Please email our wedding coordinator at weddings@sweetimpressions.ca for details.
Q: Do you use the same icing for cupcakes and signature cakes?
A: Our cupcakes are topped with our classic buttercream icing. Our Signature Wedding cakes are made with luxe meringue buttercream which is delicate and less sweet. Meringue buttercream holds textured designs and tiered structures best. Both are equally delicious!!!
Q: Do you make tiered vegan wedding cakes?
A: Sorry, we do not. All of our vegan wedding cakes are only available in 6″ and 8″ as the icing is very delicate and soft. We offer 4 different base designs, 2 sizes (6″, 8″), 6 flavours options plus 4 seasonal flavours, and 4 accent floral options. Our vegan icing is heat sensitive. Please keep refrigerated until putting on display 2-8 hours before serving. Please keep cakes out of direct sunlight and warmer temperatures. Care instruction will be provided.
Q: How do I build a Dessert Table for guests?
A: Select either the Wedding Dessert Table or the Vegan Dessert Table option to begin. We have set a intimate menu for both dessert tables for 30 guests but you can accommodate as many guests as you like by simply adding more of what you love to your package. We suggest 2-3 pieces per guest. The best part is you can personalize your cookie favours, the cookie toppers on your cupcakes and even your wedding cake. Add your names, love, i do, or any text you wish in one of our six fonts and 14 colour options
Q: How many dessert table servings should be ordered per guest?
A: We recommend 2-3 servings per guest.
Q: Do cookie favours come individually packaged?
A: Yes, all of our custom sugar cookie favours include individual packaging.
Q: Can I upload an image to a thank you cookie favour?
A: Yes, make it custom! Turn your engagement photo into your edible art or any photo or graphic you wish.
Q: Do you have cookie places cards?
A: Yes! It is our favourite way to let guests know where to sit and it doubles as their thank you favour all-in-one! Personalize each cookie with an individual name and corresponding table number. Select from 6 different fonts in 14 different colours. Each edible place card cookie is individually packaged.
DOUGHNUT WALL RENTALS
Q: How do I rent your amazing doughnut wall?
A: Doughnut wall rentals are booked through our wedding coordinator and are subject to availability. A damage deposit of $200 per rental will be held until rentals are returned. Rentals that are returned late or damaged will be subject to fees.
Q; Can I rent a wall without ordering doughnuts?
A: No, our doughnut wall rentals are only available with a purchase of 36 doughnuts.
Q: Do we need to return the doughnut walls?
A: Yes, doughnut walls must be returned within 48 hours or late fees will apply.
Q: How many doughnut flavours can I choose?
A: You can select up to 3 flavours per doughnut wall.
PICKUP & DELIVERY
Q: Can my dessert table/cake be picked up ?
A: Yes! Your dessert table can be picked up the day of (or the day before) your event. We suggest picking up your cake 1-3 days before your wedding and storing in a fridge. Cakes should be placed at room temperature 2-8 hours before serving. Please keep cakes out of direct sunlight and warmer temperatures.
Q: How do I transport my wedding dessert table/cake?
A: Pick up orders will be prepared for transport by Sweet Impressions staff. Please make sure your vehicle has fold-down seats and a cool climate controlled environment (air-conditioning is our friend). All baked goods should be placed on a flat surface (floor or trunk, not car seat or lap) and stabilized to ensure they do not slide or tip during transport. Please de not tilt any boxes when placing them in a vehicle or when removing them out of the bags. Orders are picked up at our bakery + café at 1817 Corydon Ave. Please see website for hours.
Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: Winnipeg Delivery includes drop-off only, to any venue within Winnipeg city limits. Drop-off window is 10am-3pm and does not include a specific time or dessert set-up. Select Winnipeg Delivery at checkout (cost $15).
Q: What is a Stylist Package?
A: When you book our stylist package, we take care of everything to make sure every last detail is perfect! We contact your venue to determine a suitable delivery window, and our stylists set up and style your desserts on white display boxes with ribbon and menu cards. Select Stylist Package at checkout (cost $350).
Q: Do you deliver outside of Winnipeg?
A: Yes, we offer delivery up to 100 km outside of the perimeter. This option must be booked through our wedding coordinator and will only be offered until the end of 2024. Please email weddings@sweetimpressions.ca to confirm availability. This option includes a Stylist Package plus an additional charge of $3 / km.

Q: Do you offer nut-free options?
A: Yes, we are a 100% peanut and tree nut free facility. Our entire menu is safe for those with peanut and tree nut allergies. View our allergy information here.
Q: Do you offer vegan options?
A: Yes, we offer a variety of vegan desserts such as cupcakes, mini cupcakes, decorated sugar cookies, homemade cookies, doughnuts, imperials and cutting cakes. Vegan tiered cakes are not available. Q: Do you offer egg-free options?
A: Yes, we offer a variety of egg-free desserts that are completely vegan such as cupcakes, mini cupcakes, decorated sugar cookies, homemade cookies, doughnuts, imperials and cutting cakes. Q: Do you offer gluten-free options
A: The majority of our menu items contain wheat flour. We do offer a limited flourless menu, however, gluten is not an allergen that is controlled in our facility and cross-contamination is a possibility. These items are not guaranteed to be gluten-free and would not be suitable for someone with a gluten allergy or Celiac. View our allergy information here.
Q: Do you offer soy-free options?
A: Many of our menu ingredients contain soy and / or soy lecithin and there are no procedures in place to prevent cross-contamination. As a result, we are unable to guarantee that any of our menu items are free from soy. View our allergy information here.
Q: Do you accommodate other allergy requests?
A: We will always do our best to accommodate specific requests, however the only allergens we control for are peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, and dairy. We are happy to provide allergen information for any of our menu items and work with you to design a menu suitable for your guests. View our allergy information here.
