event terms & conditions
A $250 deposit is required to save your date. Your Save the Date deposit includes 2 virtual consultation appointments and a tasting box which will be delivered to your home (within Winnipeg city limits) the day of your appointment.
This deposit is non-refundable.
All details must be finalized and balances paid in full, minimum 2 months prior to the event. Alternate payment arrangements made in advance will be accommodated whenever possible, however bookings not paid in full 1 month prior to the event will be cancelled and deposits will not be refunded. No changes to menu details may be made once the final payment has been received.
Doughnut Wall rentals must be returned in original condition to Sweet Impressions Bakery within 48 hours of the event. A damage deposit of $200 per rental will be held until rentals are returned. Rentals that are returned late or damaged will be subject to applicable fees. Doughnut Walls rented as part of a Sweet Impressions Dessert Table Package will be picked up by Sweet Impressions the day after the event.
Delivery and Transportation
Delivery with set-up and styling is available within Winnipeg city limits for a fee. Out of town delivery (up to 100 km outside the perimeter) is available for an additional charge of $3 / km. Deliveries will be completed by Sweet Impressions stylists within the time frame arranged with the venue.
If the client elects to pick up their own desserts, they assume all liability for the integrity of the desserts once in their possession. Pick up orders will be prepared for transport by Sweet Impressions staff. Vehicles with fold-down seats are recommended to ensure a climate controlled environment. Cakes, and cupcakes should be placed on a flat surface (floor or trunk, not a seat or lap) and stabilized to ensure they do not slide or tip during transport.
The client is responsible for arranging with the venue to provide: an appropriately sized, sturdy, flat, and level display surface capable of supporting the weight of the desserts without wobbling, leaning, or collapsing. The dessert table is to be in position without having to be moved and is to include clean, pressed linens before the agreed upon delivery time. The environment, whether indoors or outdoors, should be temperature controlled at 20-22°C from the time the desserts are delivered until the time they are served. The dessert table should be placed away from all heat sources and / or sunlight, whether direct or through an opening such as a window or door.
Sweet Impressions will not be held liable for issues outside their control, including but not limited to, vehicle accidents, fire, weather, power outages. After setup is complete, Sweet Impressions will not be held liable for any damage to the cake or desserts, caused by persons outside of their own staff, or for damage as a result of temperature, humidity, weather conditions, etc.
Cancellations and Postponements
Event bookings can be postponed with a minimum of 2 weeks notice. Postponements are subject to Sweet Impressions’ availability, and a fee of $150 will be applied to reschedule an event.
Event bookings can be cancelled for a refund or store credit with a minimum of 3 months notice. Save the Date deposit of $250 is non-refundable. With less than 3 months notice, no refund or credit will be given.
