Bakery Lead
full time

The successful applicant will be a self-starter who is a highly motivated individual,
has exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast paced production environment.
We are dedicated to finding team members who are inspired by creativity,
motivated by passion, committed to our allergy precautions, and dedicated to their community.
They will lead the team in the preparation of baked goods, ensure quality of products meets established standards,
maintain department organization and cleanliness, train new employees and
assist in scheduling, and establish inventory controls.


Duties & Responsibilities:
adhere to our Allergy Awareness Policy to ensure a 100% peanut and tree nut free environment and take all
necessary precautions to prevent cross-contamination with allergens present in the bakery
● profound understanding of our online order management program, with the ability to train new hires
and troubleshoot as needed
● establish production requirements to determine type and quantity of goods to produce
● communicate & assign daily tasks within the department for maximum efficiency
● train new employees and establish progressive training program from Junior Baker to Baker
● supervise and schedule all baking personnel and kitchen staff
● create efficiencies within the production schedule, storage areas, staffing requirements, etc.
● monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies & implement inventory controls
● prepare cakes, cupcakes, cookies, bakery cakes and treats according
to our recipes and standard procedures
● receive orders and ensure all ingredients are from our approved facilities with allergen reports in place
● follow proper dishwashing, food handling, health and safety procedures
● collaborate & plan with our Sweet Team on research & development projects

Skills & Experience Required:
● completion of secondary school in a baking program or other relevant program is required
● several years of commercial baking experience is required
● experience managing a commercial kitchen or bakery is a definite asset
● self-starter who is highly motivated to lead a creative team
● strong communication and interpersonal skills
● great problem solving skills
● strong organizational skills

Cookie Decorator
Full Time

The successful applicant will be a positive individual with exceptional attention to detail who enjoys working in a creative environment. We are dedicated to finding team members who are inspired by creativity,
motivated by passion, committed to our allergy precautions, and dedicated to their community.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
adhere to our Allergy Awareness Policy to ensure a 100% peanut and tree nut free environment and take all
necessary precautions to prevent cross-contamination with allergens present in the bakery
decorate base layer, painting and piping (freehand and with projector) bakery designs
clear communication with decorators to develop effective teamwork and time management
c
ommunicate with Back of House to ensure sufficient stock of bakery designs
quality control and consistency at every step

 

Skills & Experience Required:
● 1-2 years cookie decorating experience an asset in home or commercial environment
● creativity and a steady hand is an asset
● clear communication and interpersonal skills
● great problem solving and organizational skills
